An unidentified cave and pothole called Krem Tongsko (or so) is said to be situated somewhere near Krem –>Wah Ryngo - Khongreng (Hospital Sutnga, 2001.02.17). ETYMOLOGY: The Khasi verb -tong- means to draw (water from a well or vessel) or fish from a river; to fish (SINGH, N 1906: 235). The expression -sko- is not identified unless it corresponds to the noun -u skaw- meaning a small bottle-gourd for holding liquor or water, especially at the time of puja (SINGH, N 1906: 185).
