Description
An approximately large open pot without identified shape, dimensions or peculiar characteristics is estimated to be about 40 m deep (Sheen 2002.02.23 Mss: Krem Clare 2).SITUATION 1 (Sheen 2002.02.23 Mss: Krem Clare 2): Just South / East of Krem Clare [i.e. –>Clare Cave Sheen 2002.02.17] in jungle. SITUATION 2 (Gebauer 2002.03.06): Most likely in the northern part of Krang area on the eastern side of the Shnongrim ridge. SITUATION 3 (Brooks, undated Mss amendment to Sheen 2005.02.13 Mss -Krem Clare Cave Brooks: N°2): Shnongrim Ridge road Lelad Shnongrim. SITUATION 4: According to the recorded GPS positions, the second Clare Cave (N25°20'44.8”: E92°30'28.4” R F Sheen 2005.02.13, GPS Garmin Etrex) lies 65 m in a direct line approximately north-east (40.2 m north, 50.4 m east) from the first Clare Cave N25°20'43.5”: E092°30'26.6”: 1102 m asl (M. Laumanns 2002.02.16, F. Ware's GPS Garmin Etrex). CAVE DESCRIPTION 1 (Sheen 2002.02.23 Mss: Krem Clare 2 J): The yet undescended and no explored Krem Clare 2 is said, literally quoted, to consist of a 40 m deep large pot looks inviting. CAVE DESCRIPTION 2 (Brooks 2005.02.13 Mss: Meghalaya Diary): Two pitches into a crawling / walking passage ending in a too tight bedding still draughting in. CAVE DESCRIPTION 3 (Arbenz, T 2005.02 Mss: Abstracts.xls): Too tight crawl.CAVE DESCRIPTION 4 (Brooks 2005.10.05 Mss: Meghalaya 2005 Survey Summary): 187.37 / 44.05. PROSPECTS: Sheen (2002.02.23 Mss: Krem Clare 2) believes the outlook is pretty good, needs descending! CAVE CLIMATE: Brooks (2005.02.13 Mss: Meghalaya Diary) was told of an inward air current draughting in at an unknown hour of the day --probably on 13th February 2005.

EXPLORATION HISTORY: 2002.02.16: Robin F. Sheen, Daniel B. Harries and Michael Laumanns visited the entrance of J (AA cave 'J'). 2002.02.23: Robin F. Sheen, Ruben Sheen, Brian Khyriem, Bat Kupar 'Bat' Lyngwa and Ksan Kupar 'Ronnie' Mawlong paid another visit to the entrance of Krem Clare 2 (Clare Cave 2, Sheen 2002.02.23). 2005.02.13: Mark, Robin and Gregory went to Krem Clare 2 eventually went down and attempted to 'survey' (tape spotter style) but only arrived at187.37 m of accumulated tape lengths (Brooks 2005 Mss: Meghalaya Diary).
