Description
A primary cave is currently developing below a canopy of precipitating travertine (calcareous tufa) situated near the base of the calcite covered talus slope below Guru gSang Phug. This item, the lowest of the caves at Guru gSang Phug, seems to have inspired the "British Karst Expedition to the Himalaya" (edited 1971 by WALTHAM) to reckon that all caves here »were formed in tufa« (COWARD 1971c: 30).
