Description
An undercut represents an otherwise unspecified cave entrance (unidentified shape, unidentified dimensions, unidentified orientation, unidentified characteristics) which gives access to a relatively low cave passage leading to a choke (1997.02.18: with frog). The water entering this cave is thought to drain to the more or less nearby Krem –>Malo. SITUATION: In an unspecified spatial relation adjacent to and, in cases or, if you prefer, occasionally on a self-centred person's »right-hand side« (sic!) of the cave entrance of the first Synrang –>Skei (Thangskai). CAVE DESCRIPTION: In case of facing an unidentified direction, a »roomy passage on RH side of entrance shelter degenerates rapidly to a muddy crawl taking a small stream and blocked with flood debris. The last 5 m was dug into. The stream may feed an inlet in Krem Malo« (Jarratt 1998 Mss). CAVE LIFE: Anthony 'Tony' R Jarratt (1998 Mss) noticed a »frog« (or so).
History
EXPLORATION HISTORY: 1997.02.18: Boycott, Antony 'Tony', Simon J. Brooks, Paul A. Edmunds, Anthony 'Tony' R Jarratt, Brian D. Kharpran Daly, Estelle Sandford, etc. explored and surveyed: »18-2-97 Estelle, Tony, J-Rat, Simon, Brian and Paul return to Thangskei [sic! qua: Thangskai] village to locate and explore other caves reputed to be located close to the village. … [where] where Synrang Skei 1 & 2 yield 75 m of passage« (Brooks, S J in: BROOKS, S J et al 1998: 29) or, more likely, of easy to add survey length.1997.02.21: Anthony 'Tony' R. Jarratt dug through the end choke to find about 6 m of squalid passage: A hoped for connection with Krem –>Malo was not to be.
