Description
An unspecified cave entrance gives access to a cave containing at least one speleothem or flowstone boss (Jarratt 2002.02.20 Mss: Krem Umtyngier 4). SITUATION: At a pointless location (note 1) somewhere in the Wah Umtygnier basin on the eastern side of the Shnongrim ridge below the village of Tongseng (N25°19'28-: E92°30'05” WGS84) and at a spot that lies in an unidentified spatial relation near Krem –>Mulale and Krem –>Lyer. CAVE DESCRIPTION 1 (Jarratt 2002.02.20 Mss: Krem Umtyngier 4): An estimated 3 m climb down into short surface rift (less than 1 m wide and 3 m high) leads to a flowstone -boss- (speleothem) and rock spike at head of a pitch descending 25 m down into an estimated 3 m by 10 m large chamber leading into a tiny muddy rift. Maybe part of the Umthloo System. CAVE DESCRIPTION 2 (Jarratt 2002.02.24 Mss): Rift entrance can be free climbed (-43° for 5 m) to head of 19 m deep pitch, closing down at bottom. TACKLE: 30 m rope, tether, maillons and a tree –if the current oes are missing. CAVE POTENTIAL: Maybe part of the Umthloo System.es are missing. CAVE POTENTIAL: Maybe part of the Umthloo System.

EXPLORATION HISTORY: 2002.02.20: Barlis Tongseng from the village of Tongseng guided Anthony 'Tony' R Jarratt and 'Yorkshire' Dave Hodgson to a cave entrance. 2002.02.24: Anthony 'Tony' R. Jarratt, Andrew 'Andy' Harp, Columbus 'Bud' Kharbamon and Pynshngainlang Lyngdoh joined forces to envy or pity Mark W. Brown who first descended but later ascended for nothing.
