A cave called Krem Ursyle (Kharpran Daly 2001.02.17 personal communication with Hospital Sutnga and Tippor Pala) is said to lie somewhere in the vicinity of Sakhain village (church: N25°18'55.9”: E092°26'13.9”, ±100 m). ETYMOLOGY: What kind of -syle- had fallen or slipped here it not known unless it was 1) -ka syllâi- meaning a cultivated land which has very recently been abandoned or 2) “u sylli- meaning a small species of bamboo found on the Cherra [Sohra] side or 3) -syllih- a flying squirrel (SINGH, N 1906: 215). RAMAKANTHA, GUPTA & KUMAR (2003) list a couple of squirrels reported from North-east India: Hairyfooted Flying Squirrel (Belomys pearsoni) and Particoloured Flying Squirrel (Hylopetes alboniger), Orange-bellied Himalayan Squirrel (Dremomys lokriah), Malayan Giant Squirrel (Ratufa bicolor), Hoary- bellied Squirrel (Callosciurus pygerythrus) and Himalayan Striped Squirrel (Callosciurus macclellandi).

EXPLORATION HISTORY: 2001.02.17: Hospital Sutnga (Sakhain village headman) and Tippor Pala reported the cave name Krem Ursyle (or so) to Brian D.
