Description

Herbert Daniel Gebauer - 06/01/2018

An impassable resurgence, which is (eternally?) characterised by a wooden water launder (Jarratt 2003.03.03 Mss), issues from a partly blasted open, about 2 m long cave called Krem Dong Umsnor. ETYMOLOGY: The Khasi and Synteng noun -ka dong- is a short form of -ka tyndong- and means a tube, a pipe. The term -snor- is not identified unless it corresponds to the Khasi noun -ka snur- meaning a cleavage, a crack, a seam. SITUATION: Somewhere in the vicinity of Krem –>Ticha. To find the resurgence, follow the water pipes of the Ticha fields.
