Description

Herbert Daniel Gebauer - 06/01/2018

What looks like a clean- washed, fluted pot, which had been estimated to be 12 m deep (in two stages) and landing in water, needs 20 m rope or ladder (Sheen 2003.02.24 Mss: Krem Lang Shreh Swallet). SITUATION: Unknown (Sheen 2003.02.24 Mss: Krem Lang Shreh Swallet). APPROACH: From ridge above Krem –>Langshreh, follow gully down in jungle. POSITION 1: N25°19'12”: E092°32'57.7” (±15 m, Sheen 2003.02.24): 927 m asl (Garmin Etrex) Lang Shreh Swallet. POSITION 2: N25°19'2-: E092 32' 58.9” (without anything) = Lang Shreih Sink 1 (Brooks 2004.09.23 Mss) reflects either an attempt to record N25°19'20.0-: E92 32' 58.9” or N25°19'02.0-: E92 32' 58.9” or N25°19'00.2-: E92 32' 58.9” but this is unknowable. PROSPECTS (Sheen 2003.02.24 Mss: Krem Lang Shreh Swallet): This pot looks promising. Judging by the large gulleys focussing in this area, one is tempted to hope for finding large active pots in vicinity. The vertical range between this swallet (note 1) and the the supposed crrent rising at Krem –>Langshreh is believed to exceed 100 m.What looks like a clean- washed, fluted pot, which had been estimated to be 12 m deep (in two stages) and landing in water, needs 20 m rope or ladder (Sheen 2003.02.24 Mss: Krem Lang Shreh Swallet).
