An inconspicuous cave entrance (1 m wide and 0.6 m high) was said to give access to an estimated 150 m of walking sized cave passage which leads to a collapsed continuation. IDENTITY: This porcupine cave is possibly the same as the so-called Krem –>Wah Steiñ. ETYMOLOGY: The Khasi cave name "Krem Wah Lareng" signifies a "krem" or cave on a "wah" or stream, which is specified by (note 1) an antler / horn (note 2) or associated with the fabulous Khasi monster "U Laren", a thunderbolt (SINGH, N 1906: 111, 171). SITUATION: Above the south-east (orographically left) bank of a stream recorded as »Wah Lareng« (or so).
