Description
An about 10 m long cave consists of up to 1.5 m wide rifts in marble (note 1). It starts with a 5 m long entrance gallery and continues, both on the left-hand side (3 m long) and right-hand side, with passages which end in impenetrable fissures that arrive from above. SITUATION: In a gorge called Tang Qal'éh Malik (note 2), which lies opposite of a certain Barina (note 3). The cave entrance lies a kilometre from the mouth of the gorge (perhaps near Gorum? at N34°24'08”: E070°08'51” WGS84), in the cliff face above the left (northern) bank of the torrent, and some 30 m above the level of the water. CAVE LIFE: Goat droppings and bird's shit near the entrance, bat guano in the interior noticed LINDBERG (1958: 133) who reports to have collected larvae of Hemiptera heteroptera, Coleoptera (Ptinida, larvae of Dermestida?), Lepidoptera, and Arachnida (Araneida).An about 10 m long cave consists of up to 1.5 m wide rifts in marble (note 1).
