Location
The cave is 300m south-west of Tham Luang Forest Park headquarters, about 15 minutes up the hill on a good path starting behind the visitor centre. After about 200m turn left down into the doline in front of the cave.The path straight on leads to Tham Phaya Naak
Description
Close to Tham Phaya Naak a magnificent amphitheatre of cliffs encloses a lush evergreen forest. The far end descends into a vast steeply sloping chamber 75 m long and 50 m deep with two separate entrances joining together at the back of the cave and a very high up window through which palms can be glimpsed. A semi-permanent muddy wallow at the bottom is frequented by wild animals such as serow after which the cave is named.
