Description
An about 8 m by 5 m wide collapse doline lies at an estimated walking distance of 100 m or 150 m approximately west of the first –>Nela Bilam (Cherlopalle) but at a slightly higher elevation. In spite of a biogene infilling of thorns and briars, Rosario "Saro" Ruggieri not only entered but also returned back to the surface to report a terminal breakdown choke at an estimated 15 m from the entrance but 10 vertical metres further down.
History
EXPLORATION HISTORY: 1884.12: During Christmas week Henry Bruce and Robert Bruce Foote paid a short visit to two caves near Cherlopalle (FOOTE 1885, p: 235). 1984.01: H. Daniel Gebauer and K. Padmanabhaiah paid a brief visit (GEBAUER & ABELE 1985: 39-41). 1996.12: Rosario "Saro" Ruggieri entered and explored while H. D. Gebauer, M. Narayana Reddy, Werner Busch, Iolanda Galletti, Renate & Uwe Kalmbach, and Vito Santoro performed waiting activities in a shady site near the entrance.
