Description
General description
The lava tube cave has an upper (NW) section that ends in a solid lava plug and a lower (SE) part, both separated by the small and shallow roof collapse that serves as main entrance. The SW part of the cave is quit wet, has another roof collapse doline and two more small entrances. All roof collapses can be circumvented by parallel passages providing a non-segmented lava tube. Generally speaking, Ubuvumo Manjari Deux is much branched with parallel passages and loops. Most of the main passages are not very spacious. When seriously pushing some narrow leads in the NW part of Ubuvumo Manjari Deux the total length of the cave could be extended. Survey and description according to Laumanns et al. (2005, 2007).

Une expédition de trois semaines a été réalisée en février 2007 par le Néerlandais Jan Paul van der Pas et Michael Laummans, dans la région de la chaîne volcanique Virunga au nord-ouest du Rwanda (Afrique centrale), afin de lever les derniers points d’interrogation restant. Localisation administrative
Au 20 avril 2017, les coordonnées WGS84 décimal et la localisation administrative correspondante, indiquées dans les propriétés de cette fiche Grottocenter, ne correspondent pas aux informations indiquées dans le cartouche de la topographie (cf. supra). L'incohérence vient probablement de la réforme territoriale qui a fait disparaître la province de Ruhengeri et a créé la province du Nord.
