Description
A 0.7 m by 0.7 m large cave entrance (unidentified shape, unidentified orientation, unspecified characteristics) leads to a crawl-sized cave passage which intersects a 2 m wide cave chamber (2 m high) with three penetrable continuations (Scherzer, H 2015.04.01 Mss -Tagebuch- Mo. 12.01.2015). SITUATION: In the area covered by the Moiong Block 1 Limestone Mine which lies at linear distances of about 2 km due east of Chiehruphi (25°12'36”N: 92°22'22”E) and 2 km northeast of Wahjer (25°11'40”N: 92°22'50”E). The cave entrance itself lies at an unknown distance below what had been in January 2015 a benchwork level at a GPS displayed altitude of 754 m (Scherzer, H 2015.04.01 Mss -Tagebuch- Fr. 09.01.2015). APPROACH: In the olden times, that is to say on 12th January 2015, access to the cave entrance was gained by crossing an easily negotiable ledge (Scherzer, H 2015.04.01 Mss -Tagebuch- Fr. 09.01.2015). CAVE CLIMATE: The cave chamber had trapped on 12th January 2015 during daytime a elatively warm, stagnant and oppressive air (Scherzer, H 2015.04.01 Mss -Tagebuch- Mo. 12.01.2015).elatively warm, stagnant and oppressive air (Scherzer, H 2015.04.01 Mss -Tagebuch- Mo. 12.01.2015).

EXPLORATION HISTORY: 2015.01.09, trip 1: Harald 'Harry' Scherzer and Franz Lindenmayr, accompanied by Samlang AA (interpreter), reconnoitre the karst and, as far as still existing, the limestone east of Krem Quarry U –>Theh. They noticed not only a quarry face covered with stalactites, which indicated one wall of a cave, which is lost because it had been quarried away (note 1), but also the two in January 2015 still existing cave entrances, which were recorded as Krem Quarry Moiong a) und b) (note 2). 2015.01.12, trip 2: Scherzer H and Franz Lindenmayr walked from Chiehruphi to the 'Moiong Quarry' (Moiong Block 1 Limestone Mine). Franz Lindenmayr took photographs in the open air and Harald Scherzer entered the entrance area of the then still existing cave and sketched topographical aspect, noticed going leads and exited (note 3).
