History: Explo history: --- 23.01.2012: explored by the Northern Lao-Europea Cave Project 2012, not surveyed Cave description: In Ban Houaykhoun, a village on the left (eastern) side, two caves were shown to us by the children. The second cave, Tham Pha Leusi, Hermit’s cave, is reached by a verticl climb on the cliff face. It consists of a balcony over the village, on the right side a single room with a large stal (the hermit...). To the left is a tunnel of uncertain length, but running parallel to the cliff face. On the very left, an further vertical climb leads to another balcony above the first. Citation: Analysis: [update]: another cave, to find out that it was pretty high up the cliff. These children have gecko feet, they just scrambled up the cliff like monkeys, wearing their flip flops. Matt is an expert climber and followed, I was obviously too slow, so one of the boys came back to show me the handholds...There wasn't much of a cave up there, one dark and one half-open room, but a phantastic view over the river! An eine Felswand mit Zeichnungen angelegt, hauptsächlich Hände. Darunter deutlich eine alte Wasserlinie, Pos Pics, kurz rumgeklettert, aber keine Eingänge gefunden. War rechtes ufer, nächste Dorf war linkes Ufer, Ban Houaykhoun, eine Bande Kinder hat uns zur ersten Höhle geführt, Tham Tha Noi, Baby cave. Jörg hat sie vermessen, wir hatten schlauerweise unsere Lampen im Boot gelassen. Gab noch eine zweite Höhle, die Kinder sind uns vorausgeklettert, ziemlich ausgesetzt die wand hoch. Die Kids haben echt Geckofüße, sind da in Flipflops hoch, Matt & ich hinterher. Das eine Kid hat mir dann noch die Tritte und Griffe gezeigt... Eingang, rechts ein Raum mit großem Tropfstein, das ist der Einsiedler, die Höhle heißt Tham Pha Leusi. Seitlich ein Tunnel weg, zu dunkel um zu sehen wie lang, aber ging wandparallel.Links kann man hochklettern, auf einen weiteren Balkon, ist aber nur Matt & die Kinder hoch. Klasse Aussicht von hier auf jeden Fall. Runter sind wir dann zum Teil an den Lianen runter. >> Skizze Sind dann noch runter an den Fluß, zwei karstquellen, die erste war im Lehm, sah man aber, dass das Wasser raussprudelt, bei der zweiten kam das Wasser unter einem Felsen hervor.
