Description

Herbert Daniel Gebauer - 15/07/2016

NOTE 1: Either the cave above the village of Mulkot as such or the »caves of Mulkot and Chillikot« probably is -- if not are -- the same as the –>Chamere Gufa, Mulkot. NOTE 2: »The observation of the caves of Mulkot and Chillikot, located on the Mahabharat slope support the paleolithic settlement. The cave of Mulkot 11 km north of Praseni [sic! qua: Parseni] at Ghorahi - Tulsipur road, is a very big one. The writer had explored it himself but … could not find any artefact or sign of human settlement. Though it has a narrow gate, it is 60 feet high with vast expansion in its interior. So, it must be an important particularly for the stone age man. If an excavation is carried out more things would be exposed here« (SHARMA, D R 1988: 9).

Herbert Daniel Gebauer - 15/07/2016

SHARMA, D R (1988) interprets the obvious absence of »any artefact or sign of human settlement« as proofing that certain »caves of Mulkot and Chillikot« (note 1) »must be an important particularly for the stone age man« (note 2).
