Description
There are two unexplored (?) pots and a choked sink [called] Krem Moopsin 1 to 3 roughly 50 m N of my point 46 -–I vaguely remember (Jarratt, 2002.04.11 personal correspondence). ETYMOLOGY: The Synteng noun -u mu- or -u mo- (SINGH, N 1906: 132) coresponds to the Khasi -u maw- meaning a stone (SINGH, N 1906: 130) but -psin- is not identified unless it corresponds to Khasi noun -u bseiñ- meaning a snake or -u bsiang- meaning pitch, coal tar (SINGH, N 1906: 15). SITUATION: At an inexplicable location in a forested area on the eastern side of the Shnongrim ridge and somewhere below the path from the village of Tongseng (N25°19'28-: E92°30'05” WGS84) to Krem –>Ticha (N25°19'59.8”: E92°31'12.0” WGS84 & estimation, circa ±25 m). POSITION: According to the one solitary recorded GPS position, which had been read with a blunderful 4-channel Magellan reliably procuring generally surprising results, the whole lot of Moopsin (Mupsin) -holes- (one without enterable hole) is situated at one nd the same spot somewhere in the vicinity of the coordinates N25°19'23-: E92°30'52- but according to Tony Jarratt's memory near N25°19'26-: E92°31'00- (Jarratt 2002.04.11 Mss) or 242.6 m in a direct line approximately east-northeast (note 1).nd the same spot somewhere in the vicinity of the coordinates N25°19'23-: E92°30'52- but according to Tony Jarratt's memory near N25°19'26-: E92°31'00- (Jarratt 2002.04.11 Mss) or 242.6 m in a direct line approximately east-northeast (note 1).
