Description
A largely fine sand filled solution cave, allegedly dug open by unspecified men. SITUATION: From –>Kaltach Kode at an estimated 250 m in an unidentified direction upstream 1-3 (note 1). CAVE DESCRIPTION: The cave entrance (5 m by 2.5 m) lies at mid height in a limestone (Sibi Formation) hillock. A wall of rock forming a platform lies in front of the cave entrance. The comfortable entrance quickly decreases in size to a sandy floored crawling passage. This runs into the hill becoming smaller and steeper before terminating in a small chamber. At mid length, the cave has a small chamber. CULTURAL HISTORY - Human use: Alongside much of the passage are stacked rocks and evidence of digging. Before living memory the cave is reputed to have been dug by individuals looking for treasure. The treasure cave is believed to have been identified on an old map. CAVE LIFE: A 10 cm long and green / brown coloured lizard and relatively small spiders (Brooks 2000.10.15 Mss: Pakistan Cave Record; BROOKS 001b: 26).001b: 26).
