General description
A complex of man-made rock chambers, probably used as a troglodyte settlements / hermitage retreats, are reported from Bash Deshik (note 1) in –>Panjdeh in the Turkmenistan part of the Murghab (Morghab) River valley (note 2): Next in importance [to –>Yaki Deshik] … come the caves at Bash Deshik (-five holes-), about three miles [5 km] higher up [note 3], but they are only a series of isolated rooms (LAESSOE 1885: 589).
