KOTRE BAZAR (Cave near)

Description
What seemed to be a cave entrance, an estimated 2 m wide and 1 m high, with a small but inviting path ascending in zigzags to it, was seen from the passing bus at a small road-side hamlet (no name known, in the 1980ies some five or ten houses and shacks, about 15 km or 20 km along the road from Pokhara, above the left / eastern bank of the Seti Gandaki), which is passed beyond (south of) Gagangouda (note 1) and before (north of) reaching Kotre Bazar (note 2). The cave entrance seemed to lie an estimated 5 m or 8 m above the local ground (valley floor or river terrace). The geological situation appeares to favour karstification. In the immediate east of Kotre Bazar itself, a tributary (the Khudi Khola?) to the Seti from the left (approximate north) cuts through the Pokhara Conglomerate and incises a two to 3 m deep canyon in what looks a lot like an underlying limestone (?).What seemed to be a cave entrance, an estimated 2 m wide and 1 m high, with a small but inviting path ascending in zigzags to it, was seen from the passing bus at a small road-side hamlet (no name known, in the 1980ies some five or ten houses and shacks, about 15 km or 20 km along the road from Pokhara, above the left / eastern bank of the Seti Gandaki), which is passed beyond (south of) Gagangouda (note 1) and before (north of) reaching Kotre Bazar (note 2).
