An unspecified cave entrance (unidentified shape, unidentified dimensions, unidentified orientation, unidentified characteristics) is said to give access to an unidentified cave called »Krem Wah Ren« (Khynwin Singh Dkhar, Nongjri village headman, 1997.03.22 personal communication with Brian D. Kharpran Daly). ETYMOLOGY: The Khasi ”ka reng” is the word for »a horn, an antler« (SINGH, N 1906: 171; BLAH, E 2007: 136; GURDON 1906: 203; OLDHAM, T 1854 / 1984 appendix C: LXI) in the sense of "ka tnat jong ka reng sier" (SINGH, N 1920: 21) but "U Ren" is the name of »a sea-monster« (SINGH, N 1906: 172) or sea monster (note 1). SITUATION: In an unknown setting and at an unidentified location but, according to Khynwin Singh Dkhar, Nongjri village headman (1997.03.22 personal communication with Brian D. Kharpran Daly) somewhere in the vicinity of Nongjri (N25°11'28”: E091°47'38”: 300 m asl WGS84).
