A void hit by chance while drilling limestone: »The exploratory drilling programme of the Public Health Department … has brought to light existence of cavities [conduits] rangig in vertical extend from a few cm [centimetres] to as much as 2 m … in the Charmuria limestones around Bhatagaon [sic!] up to a depth of about 90 m« (ADYALKAR & PHADTARE 1972: 385; ADYALKAR & RAMANNA 1980: 50). SITUATION 1: Bhatgaon N21°09': E081°42' (nima.mil/geonames accessed 16.11.2003) with ancient ruins and a tank, lies about 12 km in a direct line SSE of Raipur (N21°14': E081°38') but another SITUATION 2: Bhatgaon N21°04': E081°38' (AMS sheet NF44-11 Raipur, U502 series 1960 edition) lies about 18.5 km in a direct line due south of Raipur (N21°14': E081°38').
