Description
A fabulous (?), walled off tunnel, believed to provide a secret underground passage, is said to lead off a man-made well located within the precincts of the Shiva temple at Tirunelvely (Tirunelveli, Tinnevelly) town. Geological and hydrological conditions could be regarded but the human desire for ultimate solutions is considerable (note 1). CAVE DESCRIPTION: They say (I am unable to confirm), many temples have connectivity through the cave networks. These they made during the Mohamaden's army, which wanted to destroy all the Hindu temples in India during 1000-1600 AD. In Tirunelveli Temple [note 2], one person showed me a very old closed well and told me that, this is the entance to the underground passage! (A.D.
