Description

Herbert Daniel Gebauer - 07/05/2016

No "hole" or fabulous cave as such was mentioned but we have been told a tale »according to legends around the villages of Phor« or Purr (note 1), that »it is believed that their ancestors emerged from a place called Puraka, located near a Phor village« (Das, D K in: SINGH, K S 1994: 125). Compare –>Akhegwo.

Herbert Daniel Gebauer - 07/05/2016

NOTE 1: »Phor« (SINGH, K S 1994: 125) seems to be the populated place indicated as »Purr« near (±2.5 km) N25°44'30”: E94°42': »5419« = 1652 m asl (AMS sheet NG46-12 Tamanthi, U542 series, 1955 editon) above the orographically left bank of the Tizu and about 10 km in a direct line east of »Akhegwo« (N25°44': E094°41').
