Description
NOTE 1: Krishna, »Vishnu's eighth incarnation, often depicted blue« (LONELY PLANET, India 2005 glossary: 1009).
One of the four most important caves (rock shelters or rock temples?) sacred to Krishna (note 1) is situated at an unspecified location somewhere at »Gaya in Behar« (TOD 1829-1832 edited 1914, 1997, 1: 433 + note; 1830: 311 + note; after a Mukhia in Mathura / Muttra). ANDRIAN (1891: 47) refers to »Todd« (sic!).
