Description

Herbert Daniel Gebauer - 06/01/2018

No locally known name has been identified for a seasonal spring of water rising at the base of the hills (no name mentioned) approximately north-east (note 1) of Krem –>Bam Khnai. APPROACH: In case of trying to find this item in spite of a lacking access description that would explain how exactly to get there, one is left to rely on Duxbury (2004.02.14 Mss: Valentine's Spring) who commands to follow base of hills approximately NE from Krem Ban Khnei [sic! for: Krem –>Bam Khnai]. Just right of track leading into next valley, along right edge of paddy fields. CAVE DESCRIPTION: 1.5 m wide rift, 2 m deep, 3 m long. Static water in bottom. Closes down almost imediately. No draught [sic!] (Duxbury 2004.02.14 Mss: Valentine's Spring) rather in the sense of -no draught beer- than a lacking air current. PROSPECTS: The prospects for identifying a tourist caver in search of recreational adventure caving, who knows what to think or to do in the face of such a spring, are Nil (Duxbury 2004.02.4 Mss: Valentine's Spring).4 Mss: Valentine's Spring).
