A relatively small shaft without identified size or noticed characteristics was understood to give access to breakdown at base (Dowswell & Simpson 2000.02.22 Mss). APPROACH (Dowswell & Simpson 2000.02.22 Mss): Follow an uphill track off what was considered the main track (without any explanation) at Umthe (note 1) to what once (February 2000) was an obvious -jingpynksan- (clearing) or -ram- (jungle cleared for cultivation). Proceed to top right-hand corner and the shaft lies around 50 m through undergrowth at a blunderful position (note 2). SITUATION (Gebauer): The original explorers failed to recognise any spatial relation to the nearby Brisang caves and HDG suspects a reading error or recording blunder tentatively correctible to N25°15'52”: E092°29'05” for a spot in a direct line 185 m ESE of –>Brisang 1, 150 m SE of –>Brisang 2, and 145 m SSE of Krem –>Brisang 3. Brooks (2000.05.29 Mss personal correspondence) told me that this cave is definitely somewhere in the vicinity of Krm Brisang and that's it..
