A descent through gravitationally dislocated boulders (talus cave) penetrated Brooks (2006.02.15 Mss: Pol Lum Thymmai Doline) to an estimated depth of 6 m. ETYMOLOGY: Brooks (2006.02.15 Mss Pol Lum Thymmai Doline) explains that the nickname Pol Lum Thymmai Doline is a made-up name to distinguish this site or location from Pol Lum Thymmai, where the Khasi term -pol- does also not exist while -lum thymmai- stands for the village of Lumthymmei. SITUATION: In an elongatedobvious doline or series of dolines situated 120 m to east of Pol Lum Thymmai (note 1) and also in a large and obvious doline area that in February 2006 was being used to cultivate vegetables (note 2).
