Description
No autochthonous, indigenous or locally known name has been identified --if it exists-- for a complex, three-dimensional maze cave with several cave entrances in an isolated accumulation of gravitationally dislocated granite boulders above the right (south-eastern) bank of Tungabhadra River. SITUATION: Opposite of the second Sugriva Cave, and west of pass which lies in the back of –>Sugriva Cave, and which separates the hill Sugriva Gudda into two (the eastern part has two subdivisions) and leads up to a ruined city-wall gate from where the footpath continues to Vittala (Vithala, Vitthala) temple.
