Description
Unspecified -caverns- (compare –>Naldera Cave) were seen in the 1920'ies at a distance of less than 13 km from Simla / Shimla (31°06'N: 77°07'E) when W. G. N. van der Sleen, his wife and his assistant G. Traanberg walked to the Sutlej valley to collect animals, plants and rocks. On the first day (a 4th June) of their journey they covered only a distance of 13 km due to various distractions like Lizards … cole tits … or caverns in rock betokening an origin in the depths of primeval seas (SLEEN 1929: 17).
