Location
Tham Phaya Lue is signed off the H1 at 47Q 537197 1982949 (Indian 1954). It is then 33 km to the caves with very few signs! The road skirts around a large open-cast lignite mine before heading east. Just past the village of Ban San Pa Pao take a dirt road that forks to the left. After 3 km a left hand fork leads to Tham Jaeng, Taking the right hand fork this cave is signed as straight on at 47Q 557213 1990757 (Indian 1954) with a waterfall signed along the track to the right. After 750 m the track becomes undriveable with a cliff, and cave entrances, ahead. Cave LA0062 is the large entrance that can be seen.
