A man-made stepwell, which has been turned into a Hindu place of worship (LONELY PLANET, India 1990: 489; 1993: 639; 1997: 697; 2001: 631; 2003: 645; 2005: 645; 2009: 731), was -beautified- to a degree resulting in a grand eyesore. ETYMOLOGY: The step well of Mat Bhawani (LONELY PLANET, India 1990: 489) is the same as Mata Bhavani's Well (LONELY PLANET, India 1997: 697; 2001: 631; 2003: 645; 2005: 645, 642 map quadrangle D3; 2009: 731, 728 map quadrangle D3) and the step well of Mata Bhavani (LONELY PLANET, India 1993: 639).
