The suspicious place name »Duari« near N24°22': E081°34" (Everest 1830, OLDHAM 1901: 176) is indicated above the left (north) bank the Son river and about 10 km along the National Highway NH75 approximately south-west of Chorhat (N24°26': E081°41'), the Thief's Market. ETYMOLOGY: "Duari" means door, gate (cave, cave entrance), or (mountain) pass. POSITION: »Duari« (OLDHAM 1901: 176) is neither listed on nima.mil/geonames (accessed 16.11.2003) nor indicated on the Survey of India sheet 63-H (1987 edition) or on AMS sheet NG44-15 Rewa (U502 series, 1959 edition) and in the India Road Atlas (Eicher Goodearth 2006: 56 C2).
