Description
On the hill Pedda Konda west of Budagavi / Buddhagavi village, Uravakonda taluka, Anantapur district … »are four rock shelters close to each other with paintings and bruisings on their walls and ceilings. Rock Shelter 1 is located to the right of the cave facing west. It measures 15 m x 20 m, and provides a shaded area of roughly 2 m all around it. Only two complete figures are visible from among the traces of several paintings. One of these is an incomplete figure of an animal which looks like a deer with its head turned backwards. It is done in flatwash …« (CHANDRAMOULI, N. 1991: 72). The rock art is in red.
