Description

ETYMOLOGY: The meaning and origin of the cave name Krem Paswar (Jarratt 2003) is still unheared of but may be related to the standard Khasi verbs -[kren] paswia- (to whizz) and -[kren] pasiaw- (to whisper). CULTURAL HISTORY - cave legend: According to Raplang Shangpliang (2003 February, personal communication) … the old king (dolloi) of Shnongrim, still alive in 2003, says the water from here resurges at Wah Shikar -- doubtful (Jarratt 2003.02.19 Mss: Cave Log 2003: 19/2/03; Jarratt 2003.03.25 personal correspondence).
