Description
A »sepulchral cave« (SHARMA, V.D. 1961 edited 1985) consisting of a man-made, rock-cut pit excavated from the laterite on Chattamparamba (note 1), a hill above Ferokh (note 2), had been used in »meghalithic time [SHARMA 1961 edited 1985]« as a sunken burial chamber. AIYAPPAN (1933: 299-314), BABINGTON (1819) and REA (1911) give descriptions.
NOTE 1: Chattamparamba (Chata paramba, Chata peramba, Chataperambah) is not identified. NOTE 2: Ferokh (Ferok, Ferokabad, Feroke, Paramukka) at N11°11': E075°51' (WGS84).
