Description
A large, exceptional man-made rock chamber, big enough to serve as an elephant stable (note), lies adjacent to the -right-hand side- (south) of the -Vihara Cave- (–>Fil Khana no.1). CAVE DESCRIPTION (SIMPSON 1882a: 325, plate 3; 1882b): It has a large [east facing] opening, perhaps about 20 feet high [6m], narrow at the top and wide below, like a pointed Gothic arch, only these words suggest an architectural character which would mislead in this case; the Cave turns from the entrance at right angles to the south, from which there is a narrow passage to the outside, where it meets a similar passage from the entrance.A large, exceptional man-made rock chamber, big enough to serve as an elephant stable (note), lies adjacent to the -right-hand side- (south) of the -Vihara Cave- (–>Fil Khana no.1).
