Few of the numerous hermitages, temples, caves, pools and streams on Indrakila and the surrounding peaks within Srikshetra (the vicinity of Srinagar in Gharwal) are held in estimation at the »present time« (±1880), e.g. the stream Jiwanti near a »great cave« (ATKINSON 1882, 11 edited 1991, 2: 346 after the 'ancient' (medieval?) Kedara Khanda, a Sanskrit geography claiming to be part of the Skanda Purana).
