Michael's Cave (Lower)

Michael's Cave »runs parallel to a cliff but has not the typical rift section. There are three small chambers about 20 ft. [6 m] by 10 ft. [3 m] stepping down one from the other, the last one evidently very close to the cliff face and not too safe. From this a corkscrew passage leads down 30 ft. [9 m]and ends. There are fairly good formations [speleothems] in this cave« (Glennie 1939 Mss: Preliminery [sic!] report to the British Speleological Association by the Regional Recorder, India and Burma.- sheet 2, item 1). An interesting extension occurs further up the hill side in the same alignment: [Upper] –>Michael's Cave 2. SITUATION: At an unidentified location somewhere in the vicinity of Mussoorie (N30°27': E078°05': 2000 m asl).
