Description

Herbert Daniel Gebauer - 25/03/2016

On the one-hand side a »shelter« (GOSH 1964: 99) containing rock art somewhere at »Chandnigarh« in Burhanpur tahsil (note 1) but on the other hand a »rock shelter« (Indian Archaeology: A Review [IAR] 1961-1962: 99) from the vicinity of which microliths were collected at »Chandigarh (Burhanpur tahsil).« SITUATION: »Chandigarh« (IAR 1961-1962) or »Chandnigarh« (GOSH 1964) seems to correspond to garh (fort) above the town of Chandni (note 2) in the Tapti River valley. Not far are the –>Asirgarh undergrounds.
