Description
One of the »potholes« (note 1) or whirlpools which »have been created by the youthful streams either below where they fall or where tributary nalas [water courses] join them« (DUTT 1955: 121). SITUATION 1955: »Pachagundalu [sic!] or Green Pools [lies about] a furlong [201 m] north-west of Pachagundalu Penta (15°18': 78°43')« (DUTT 1955: 121). SITUATION 2: »Pachchagundalu« (DUTT 1981: 15) is north of –>Pedda Ahobilam (N15°07'26”: E078°44'11”: 490 m asl, Everest 1830).
NOTE 1: DUTT (1955, 1981) mentions »potholes« (whirlpools) called –>Bhirava Gundam, –>Chenchula Gundalu, –>Dhodiyam, –>Kannikala Gundalu, –>Pachagundalu or Pachchagundalu (DUTT 1981: 15), –>Pedda Ahobilam Potholes, and –>Varaha Gundam.
