Tham Bor Nam Thip - KR0187
8.168410,98.806625
Location
From Tham Sra Kaeo continue along the track past the two resurgence pools. After about 100m head across the stream and walk up to the cliffs which can be seen to the south of the track. Tham Bor Nam is above and to the east of Tham Pee Chit Ma.
Description
The cave has been used by monks. A 15m wide by 4m high entrance soon closes down at the back of the entrance chamber at a pool with some flowstone. To the right of the entrance chamber some small passages can be followed for a few metres. Above the entrance there are wooden scaling poles ascending to higher passages while even higher up the cliff bamboo can be seen across a couple of the numerous entrances. These are possibly bamboo bat traps.
Histoire
The first recorded visit to this cave was by the OCC and SMCC in December 2007. However, considering its location, this cave has probably been visited before by cavers. 2007-12-14 (M. Ellis, K. Morton)
