Location

From Ton Sai, take the jungle path to Railey East. Follow past top of first hill and continue to bottom. Before the next rise in slow there will be a (dry) stream bed, turn right here. You should be able to see an old cinder-block hut from the path, and there might be smaller footpath going in that direction. Following the stream bed should soon open up into a large clearing with a house on the right. There is a dry cave on the left with multiple entrances, which has one main large cavern, but nothing that continues. Follow the stream bed to the opposite side of the clearing from where you entered and continue till you come to a sink with high karst cliffs on three sides. At the very back on the left is the entrance to the cave. The entrance had a bunch of tubing stuffed in it. Martin Ellis - 01/12/2019

Description

Martin Ellis - 01/12/2019

There is or was a dynamic rope rigged near the entrance sloping down 6 m to an 8-10 m pitch. This must be used by the locals to go down the pitch. I did go down this by hand with no other equipment, but it is highly discouraged, as its a long way down. At the bottom the stream bed twists and turns until its blocked by some flowstone. It appears that it can be followed further via a low duck under the flowstone. Water can be heard dripping on the otherside and tubing and a power cord go under it (probably to another pump for getting water). This is possibly the upstream continuation of Tham Sra Lek.
