Brief description
Natural caves or man-made rock chambers reported SIMPSON (1881: 206) from -the rock round- the shrine -Pir Goondee Ziarat- (Ziarat-e Pir Goondi / Gundi, about 2 km west-southwest of -Ali Boghan- (Samarkhel?) which itself lies at the western rim of the Girdi Kas range above the southern bank of Kabul River and about 12 or 13 km in a direct line east-southeast of –>Jalalabad.
