LUKOBOMI CAVE

Description
The part of the awe-inspiring cave below the village of Lukobomi (note 1), which can be entered by humans, is not more than fifteen to twenty feet deep (rather an estimated 4.6 m to 6.1 m long than vertically deep) but many animals can, of course, penetrate much more of this cave. Hence it is no wonder that people, who are familiar with the area or, for that matter, with caves in general, are very well aware that this cave extends right to the bowels of the earth as no one had ever been in far enough to reach the end [note 2] (HUTTON, J H 1926: Diaries of two tours in the unadministered area east of the Naga Hills.- 1923 April 26th).The part of the awe-inspiring cave below the village of Lukobomi (note 1), which can be entered by humans, is not more than fifteen to twenty feet deep (rather an estimated 4.6 m to 6.1 m long than vertically deep) but many animals can, of course, penetrate much more of this cave.
