Location
Tham Phaya Lu is signed to the east of the H1 at 47Q 536855 1983261. It is then 33 km to the caves with very few signs! The road skirts around a large open-cast lignite mine before heading east. Just past the village of Ban San Pa Pao take a dirt road that forks to the left. After 3 km a left hand fork leads to Tham Jaeng, while to the right the dirt track continues for another 750 m until it becomes undriveable. Doi Tham Nam Yoi is 1 km to the east of the end of the track.
