»Somewhat more than a half mile [about 1 km]SW of Cocachia Dhar [note 1], the ... deposits of miliolite are pierced by a natural shaft, nearly vertical, and about 20 ft. [6 m] deep through beds of solid rock. This inlet is rumoured to lead into a cave and a subterranean passage, which leads to another cave [–>Dolatagadh ka Bhoiru] at a very considerable distance on the south-eastern side of Cocachia Dhar …«(ADYE 1917: XXI; noticed by CRAVEN 1969: 27). Visiting the area in winter 1998-99, everybody I talked to was surprised to learn of a »natural shaft« or cave entrance anywhere around. Spending two long afternoons to reconnoitre on my own, I found an impenetrable, collapsed exsurgence (N21°42'30": E69°49'35", WGS84, 4-channel GPS), two active sinks hopelessly clogged with sand and soil (one near N21°42'26": E69°49'47" WGS84, the other near N21°42'37": E69°49'38"), and several openings of "nearly vertical" tubes less than 25 cm in diameter.
NOTE 1: South and south-west of the hill of Cocachia Dhar (N21°42'50”: E69°50'00” WGS84, 4-channel GPS) lies an area called Ghojhara, which I had found in 1998-99 excessively quarried for limestone.

EXPLORATION HISTORY: 1998 December 29 and 30: H. D. Gebauer found in the relevant area only abandoned quarries.
