Caves or man-made, rock-cut chambers may exist in Savan Durga / Savanadurga Forest. SITUATION: The fortified peak Savanadurga (HARISH, R P & MURALI, K S 2003) or Savan Durga, Savandurga, Severndroog, and Severndurg (note 1) rises about 30 km along the road from Bangalore (12°59'N: 77°35'E) approximately west towards Magadi (note 2).
