Description
The entrance is at the base of a north facing cliff. It is approximately 9m wide and 1.5m high. From the entrance the passage slopes steeply downwards ending in a pitch about 50m in. The pitch, estimated to be at least 10m deep, was not descended due to bad air. The bad air was first apparent just inside the entrance and becmae increasingly severe towards the pitch. Passage width is up to 20m wide, but narrows to 5m near the bottom. Roof height is generally 1-3m. The cave floor is mostly earth and quite dusty in places. At one dusty spot there was an overpowering animal smell.
