Description
One of the two »Pedda Ahobilam potholes« (DUTT 1955: 121) or »pools near Pedda Ahobilam« (DUTT 1981: 15) is one of whirlpools (note 1) which »have been created by the youthful streams either below where they fall or where tributary nalas [water courses] join them« (DUTT 1955: 121). SITUATION: DUTT (1955: 121; 1981: 15) locates the »Bhirava Gundam and the Varaha Gundam two furlongs [402.3 m] east and half a furlong [100.6 m] west respectively of Ahobilam« (note 2).
